SECTION 1 (Seniors & Juniors will jump together but be judged separately except class 4)

CLASS 1 - Clear Round Cross Poles (One round, enter as many times as you like)

CLASS 2 - 40cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock)

CLASS 3 - 50cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock)

CLASS 4 - Pairs max 50cm (Each rider jumps one round all against the clock, riders must pass whip in between rounds)

CLASS 5 - 60cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock)

 

SECTION 2 (Seniors & Juniors will jump together but be judged separately)

CLASS 6 - Clear Round max 60cm (One round, enter as many times as you like)

CLASS 7 - 70cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock, final fence will be an optional joker)

CLASS 8 - Christmas Cracker Fun Class 75cm (Jump as many fences as possible in 60 seconds, each cleared fence is worth 10 points, knock downs or refusals lose 5 points each time. Knocked down fences won’t be put back up. Clear the joker for 20 points but this can only be jumped once, knock it down or refuse and lose 20 points. Time starts when you jump your first fence.)

CLASS 9 - 80cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock, final fence will be an optional joker)

CLASS 10 - 90cm Showjumping (Jump two rounds, second round against the clock, final fence will be an optional joker)

Sashes to all 1st Place, Christmas rosettes to 3rd place, Clear round rosettes to all clears in class 1 & 6

Combination with the highest points in each Section receives Champion sash & £25 cash

Runner Up receives rosette & £15 cash

Prize for the best junior & senior fancy dress in each section

All children get a dip in the Christmas treat box and a surprise visit from Santa!

CLASS 11 - Chase Me Walter (One practice fence and one main fence each round, starting at 70cm main fence will go up 2 holes each round. Competitors must jump both fences clear to go through to the next round. Maximum of 5 rounds.     Additional on the day entries will be accepted for this class if time allows)

  All classes pre-entries, times will be allocated

Classes 2,3,5,7,8,9,10,11 - £8.50 for SDRC Members/£10.50 for Non-Members per Class

Class 4 - £12 per pair

Class 1 & 6 Clear Round - £5.50 per round

*  All Showjumping classes will be run as single phase. Everyone will jump two rounds (unless eliminated in the first round). Jump the second round straight after the first, the second round will be against the clock.

*   Juniors 17 years and under, senior 18 years and over.

*  Joker Fence – Classes 7,9,10 will have an alternative joker fence as the last fence of the second round which will be higher than the rest of the course. Jump it clear, we will deduct 5 seconds from your time, knock it down and add 5 seconds or don’t gamble and jump the standard fence.

*   Entries close Wednesday 1st December 2021. Times available Thursday 2nd December 2021 please include your e-mail address on entry form and I will send them to you. We will try to keep all your times as close together as possible.

*  Vaccinations MUST be up to date and all horse must have had a vaccination within the last 12 months. Spot checks will be done.

*  Refreshments and toilets available at the venue.

Rules of the Show

 

  1. Warm up to be done in designated areas only and horses to move steadily between rings and parking for pedestrian safety!

  2. Please do not clean out your horse transport onto the field, as the field must be left clean and tidy at the end of the day.

  3. The organisers and owners of the property will accept no responsibility for loss, damage or accident howsoever caused, to competitors, spectators or their property, servants or horses in connection with or arising out of this Event. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the organisers and owners against legal action arising there from.

  4. Any objections must be made to the show secretary within 10 minutes of the completion of the class concerned with a deposit of £20, which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld.

  5. The judges’ decision is final.

  6. The organisers retain the right to refuse entry, cancel, amalgamate or split classes or amend prizes depending on entries. No refunds will be given.

  7. A skull cap or hat and safety harness according to the current BSI or European standard must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted. Appropriate footwear must also be worn at all times when mounted.

  8. A qualified first aider will be in attendance during the show.

  9. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

  10. No fences to be jumped outside the rings other than any officially flagged practice fences.

  11. If travelling alone, please provide an emergency contact number to the entries secretary.
